The daughter of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Esra Albayrak and her husband Berat Albayrak, former Minister of Finance, ring in the New Year in a large march in Istanbul for Gaza and for Turkish soldiers killed in operations outside Turkish borders.

“We invite you all to the Galata Bridge at 08.30 on the first morning of the new year to share the pain of our soldiers and our martyrs in Gaza and show the whole world our stand against this oppression” says the couple Berat and Esra Albayrak in a video posted on social media and broadcast by the media.

“We refuse to surrender to a regime that systematically kills children. No irrational ideology can justify this horrible genocide. We shout at every opportunity that the world must not be surrendered to a single country. In the face of today’s atrocities, we call on everyone to question the global system. We want Netanyahu and his government to stand trial for the war crimes they committed and we want conviction in conscience to find its counterpart in international criminal courts” states in her message Esra Albayrak.

The son of the Turkish president, Bilal Erdogan, also appears in the same video.

The march is organized by the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP). “Youth Foundation of Turkey” (TUGVA), which speaks of an unprecedented gathering in terms of its massiveness. The appointment has been made, as stated in the video, at 8:30 in the morning of the first day of the year, after the morning prayer in the mosques of the City.
