Prince Albert in his New Year’s message he referred to personal and global developments that took place over the past year with Princess Charlene by his side. In front of the Christmas tree of the palace the Princess of Monaco she was impressive once again, choosing to wear a burgundy velvet gown by the famous Ralph Lauren house with stunning gold earrings, as reported by People.

“Whether on the world stage or in our personal lives, the year has left its mark in happiness, but also in trials, sorrows and tragedies.” said Prince Albert. “The Princess and I wish to express our full support and deepest sympathy and love to all those affected by bereavement, pain, illness and loneliness.”.

And he continued: “Our country has been spared many of the upheavals affecting the world. We therefore have a common duty to recognize our good fortune, but also the ambition, to remain united by protecting our institutional model, our social and economic achievements.”

Describing 2023 as a “year of celebration” – given that it marked the 100th birthday of Prince Rainier III, as well as the 30th anniversary of Monaco’s accession to the United Nations – he added: “Our unity and uniqueness is our shield against the problems that plague so many of our Western societies today, and I consider it my whole-hearted duty to ensure that our community remains cohesive and prosperous…We cannot predict the future, but we can to prepare for it. We cannot predict it, but we must create it. The coming year portends many challenges, but promises much.
