As fears of regional escalation mount in the shadow of the death of Hamas deputy leader Saleh al-Aruri, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah addresses hundreds of supporters.

Nasrallah began his speech by paying tribute to “friends” who died, saying there were 80 “martyrs”.

Speaking of his murder Saleh al-Arurisaid his death was the result of “blatant Israeli aggression.”

Hassan Nasrallah is commemorating the fourth anniversary of the death of Iranian Quds Force chief Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a US drone strike.

“Even in his grave he lives, in his martyrdom his life became stronger, more present. We see him in our rockets, in our homes, in the tears of children,” the Hezbollah leader said.

“We know who are friends, who are enemies and their goals are clear,” he added and continued that “we can consult with each other… but everyone will make decisions in the light of their own interests.”
