Hollywood has been shocked by the news of the death of the well-known American actor Christian Oliver, who died tragically along with his two daughters, aged 10 and 12, in a plane crash in the Caribbean.

He was 51 years old and had become more widely known for his participation in the films Indiana Jones and Valkyrie.

According to the Daily Mail, the pilot was also recovered dead from the wreckage of the plane.

The plane crash happened earlier today off Bequia.

Oliver is set to appear in Forever Hold Your Peace, which he also produced.

The shooting of the film was completed on 20 December.

The director of his latest film, Nick Lyon, paid tribute to the late actor by posting a photo from the last day of filming.

“We’ve been talking about making a movie together for years and we finally did! Thank you for being a great colleague, actor and friend,” he wrote.

According to local reports, he was with his daughters in the Caribbean on December 26.
