The meeting of the American Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, in Istanbul has ended, as the Turkish Anadolu news agency reports, without giving any other details about the meeting.

According to the same agency, Blinken is going to meet with the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdoganin Istanbul, before departing for the next stop of his tour, Chania, where in the afternoon he will have a meeting with Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.

Stops in Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Israel, West Bank and Egypt will follow.

According to a statement from the press office of the Greek Prime Minister, after the Mitsotakis-Blinken meeting, a working meeting will follow, in which the Minister of Foreign Affairs Giorgos Gerapetritis, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandra Papadopoulou, the director of the diplomatic office of the Prime Minister, Ambassador Anna Maria will participate Boura and the special advisor for International Policy and Public Diplomacy of the Prime Minister Aristotelia Pelonis.

The importance of the Prime Minister’s meeting with the American Secretary of State in the presence and leadership of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs was underlined in a televised interview by the government representative, Pavlos Marinakis.
