Washington wants to determine how best to organize its own support
The advisor to the American president on issues of National Security Jake Sullivanpresumably on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, will ask Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for a more concrete plan for war with Russia, Bloomberg reports, citing its own sources familiar with the plan who asked to remain anonymous.
According to one of the agency’s sources, the Ukrainian military is working on a plan for 2024, while Washington wants to determine how best to organize its own support. At the same time, the White House expresses its concern about what is being broadcast about Frof potential disagreements between President Zelensky and the Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzny. According to US officials, this may delay the formulation of further strategy.
Recently the American president Joe Biden had asked the Congress to approve the amount of 106 billion dollars in support of Ukraine, Israel and Taiwan. The $61 billion is earmarked for Kyiv. That budget has yet to be approved, as Republicans in Congress insist that funding issues be considered separately.
The latest military aid package to Ukraine, amounting to 250 million dollarswas given at the end of December.
