At least 33 people were killed yesterday to landslide that occurred in northwestern Colombia, according to the latest report given by the government today.
“Most” of the people killed in this disaster in an indigenous community are children, Deputy Prime Minister Francia Marquez said.
The road connecting Medellin, Colombia’s second-largest city, to Quibdo has been temporarily closed after being damaged by several landslides, a government official told AFP yesterday.
According to estimates, around 30 people were trapped under the rubble.

About 50 soldiers also arrived at the scene to join the search and rescue efforts.
