The drunken passenger stated that he did not remember biting the flight attendant
A US-bound Japanese airline ANA flight was forced to return and land in Tokyo after a drunken passenger bit a flight attendant, the company said today.
The passenger, a 55-year-old American, bit a crew member’s hand, slightly injuring it, while he was “totally drunk,” an All Nippon Airways spokesman told AFP.
This incident forced the pilots of the plane which had 159 passengers to make a U-turn over the Pacific Ocean to land at the Japanese capital’s Haneda Airport, where the passenger handed himself over to police, according to ANA.
According to Japan’s TBS network, the passenger who was arrested later told police he had “no recollection” of his behavior.
On social media, many compared this episode to the “beginning of a zombie movie.”
