“Unfortunately, we see that Mr war in Gaza has increased regional escalation. We have seen that the prevailing tensions are also reflected in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea,” he stressed. Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan during the meeting he had with Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi.

As reported by the correspondent of SKAI in Istanbul Manolis Kostidis, Fidan immediately after the meeting with his Jordanian counterpart, spoke to reporters expressing his concern over the developments between Pakistan and Iran in the last two days. “This morning we had the opportunity to talk with the foreign ministers of the two countries” he said and added “they explained their positions and justified their actions. As Turkey, we advised not to escalate the problem further and to restore calm as soon as possible.”

Afterwards, the Turkish Foreign Minister expressed optimism that “incidents will not increase further between the two brotherly countries” while underlining that Turkey is ready to help reduce the tension between Pakistan and Iran.

Referring to the Palestinian issue, Fidan noted that it is “an issue in which we are on the right side both from the point of view of international law and from the point of view of moral principles. If we cannot unite and defend such a just cause in a strong and honest way, if we cannot show adequacy, today this crisis is for the Palestinians and tomorrow it will come to another Muslim country

At the same time, he called on Muslim countries to unite and “raise our voices as much as possible against this injustice and illegality and show all our abilities, show solidarity and make the necessary efforts to solve this problem according to with international rules and ethical principles”.

“When we put this mechanism into practice, I say this emphatically, no force can drag us into instability in the region. Whatever plans are developed by the dominant powers, the imperialist powers in the region. No matter how much they set their eyes on the resources in our area, they will not be able to achieve it. In many matters, the oppressed is as much to blame as the oppressor because it does not show the necessary resistance and effort, so I would like to express that the justified effort that we will once again make together as countries of the region on the Palestinian issue is very, very valuable.”
