At least three rockets were fired at the Israeli side of the occupied Golan Heights late Thursday night, Israel’s military and Syrian media reported.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a Britain-based non-governmental organization that relies on a wide network of sources in war-torn Syria, said pro-Iranian fighters allied with the Lebanese Hezbollah movement fired at least ten rockets at positions in the Golan Heights, prompting Israeli artillery barrages. in retaliation in Deraa province (southwest Syria).

According to the same source, the Israeli army bombed facilities near the town of Nawa, in western Deraa.

This is the second time since the beginning of the year that pro-Iranian fighters close to Hezbollah have launched rockets from Syrian territory against Israel, according to the NGO.
