Borrell: EU diplomatic missions to Ukraine remain open
EU diplomatic missions to Ukraine remain open, says EU High Representative Josep Borrell.
In a statement issued by the EU, he added that “they continue to work in support of EU citizens and in cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities”, noting that any further military aggression against Ukraine would answer”.
More specifically, Mr. Borrell states that “the EU and its Member States are coordinating their actions in the face of the current threats in Ukraine.”
He adds that “our diplomatic missions do not close. They remain in Kiev and continue to work to support EU citizens and in cooperation with the Ukrainian authorities. “The presence of staff and travel advice to EU citizens is tailored to the needs to take account of security conditions.”
“We reaffirm our continued support for Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for its diplomatic efforts to de-escalate. “We remind you that any further military aggression against Ukraine will have enormous consequences and a heavy price in return.”
