NASA Is Tracking Large Asteroids That Could Be A Danger To Earth – A Potentially Dangerous Collision Could Happen In 2182
A harmless ray of light from meteorite decaying lit up Germany’s night sky early Sunday morning before falling to earth.
THE asteroid 2024 BX 1 , tentatively designated as Sar2736, landed outside Berlin near Nennhausen around 1:30 a.m., astronomers and observers said.
It was discovered by the Hungarian astronomer Krisztián Sarneczky a few hours before its impact, according to the International Astronomical Union.
NASA confirmed the incident at X about 20 minutes before impact.
Residents were able to see the meteor fall from the sky and then posted videos on social media.

THE NASA tracks large asteroids that could pose a danger to earth.
THE next possible dangerous collision could happen in 2182 when there is a 1 in 2,700 chance that a small near-Earth asteroid called Bennu will pierce the atmosphere.
