New missile strike on a tanker in its area Red Sea Reportedly carried out by Yemen’s Houthis on Friday afternoon.

According to British company Ambreythe 110,000-ton tanker Marlin Luanda was hit by a missile in its fifth tank, causing a large explosion and bursting into flames.

As Ambrey Insurance Company reports, the tanker has caught fire, but the crew is safe.

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have announced this evening that their naval forces have launched an “operation” against the “British tanker Marlin Luanda” in the Gulf of Aden, resulting in a fire on the ship.

According to Houthi army spokesman Yahya Sarea, “a number of missiles” were used and “the hit was immediate.”

Specialist website vesselfinder reports that the tanker Marlin Luanda is Marshall Islands-flagged and destined for Singapore.
