Iran says it has nothing to do with drone strike on Jordan/Syria border that killed three US servicemen
The Iran today refuted the accusation that it was responsible for the drone attack which resulted in the killing of three soldiers of the USA and wounding dozens of others on the Jordanian/Syrian border, according to a Foreign Ministry press release carried by the Islamic Republic’s official news agency, IRNA.
“These accusations are formulated with a political goal”, which is “to reverse the realities in the region”, stated the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani, according to IRNAcommenting on the statements of the head of its diplomacy Britainof David Cameronwhich called on Tehran to choose “de-escalation”.
“It is also evident that they are influenced by third partiesincluding the Zionist regime, which is murdering children,” added Mr Kanaani, referring to Israel, which has been embroiled in a war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip after the unprecedented attack by its military arm Palestinian Islamist movement in southern sectors of its territory on 7 October.
“As we have already said, the resistance organizations in the region are responding to the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist regime” and “do not take orders” from Iran, “decide their actions on their own, based on their own principles” “, insisted the representative of the Iranian diplomacy.
The American president Joe Biden explained yesterday that the USA they will respond in this — first fatal — blow against their troops in the region since the outbreak of the Israel/Hamas war.
