Representatives of the Italian “movement of tractors” they announced that from Thursday they will begin to approach Rome, with a series of mobilizations, and that next week they will organize a large demonstration, always in the Eternal City.

At the same time, mobilization is expected to be organized in Sanremo, outside Genoa, where the Italian Song Festival begins tomorrow, which is broadcast by Rai public television.

In the meantime, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni from Japan, where she is visiting, referred to the protests and underlined:

We met the farmers, an area to which I have always given maximum attention. The facts prove it, the increase in funds in the state budgets, the renegotiation of the National Recovery Plan with an increase in resources for agriculture from five to eight billion euros“.

We have been struggling for fuel, we have done our best by supporting our excellent culinary products, such as by deciding to ban so-called synthetic foods“, added the Italian Prime Minister.

Finally, Meloni emphasized that “more and better things can always be done” and that she is ready to listen to the demands of the farmers.
