One person was killed and five were injured when a car checked into a Texas hospital on Tuesday night local time in the emergency department lobby.
The car – so far unknown how – broke into St. David’s North Austin Medical Center in Austin, Texas around 17:38 local time. Firefighters immediately went to the scene where they managed to extricate the driver of the car. Doctors and paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) on him, but unfortunately were unable to save him, Austin Fire Chief Thayer Smith said.
At the same time, five people were injured – among them two adults and two children who were taken to other hospitals.
