Two men, aged 19 and 36, were shot dead after an Israeli army raid on Tulkarem camp
Two Palestinians were killed today during a raid by Israeli forces against the Tulkarem displaced persons camp in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Authority.
The Israeli military confirmed in a press release the death of a man suspected of involvement in attacks against Israeli forces.
Two men, aged 19 and 36, were shot dead following an Israeli army raid on the Tulkarem settlement, the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry said. West Bank.
At least five people were injured during this operation, the Palestinian Authority said Red Crescent.
The Israeli army announced that its forces went to arrest a man suspected of “participating in attacks against Israeli forces and in the killing of people suspected of collaborating with them in Tulkarem.”
“Terrorists opened fire and threw explosives at the Israeli forces, who responded”, killing the suspect who was “armed”, added the Israeli army, clarifying that an Israeli police officer was “seriously injured and is being treated”.
Since October 7, the Israeli military has intensified its almost daily operations in the West Bank with the aim of disrupting networks linked to the Hamas and other Palestinian armed organizations.
At least 398 Palestinians have since been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces or Israeli settlers, according to the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry.
On Friday, the Palestinian army said it had arrested 3,100 Palestinians, including 1,350 Hamas members, in the West Bank since the start of the war.
