“Scotch shower” for a man in the United States. John Cheeks, who lives in Washington, sued the US Powerball lottery for $340 million, claiming he was unfairly denied the $320 million prize money, despite having the numbers displayed on the gambling company’s website.

Cheeks bought a Powerball ticket on Jan. 6 and picked his numbers based on his family members’ birthdays. In his lawsuit, Cheeks asked Powerball to pay him the ticket winnings he thought he had, plus an additional $72,000 per day in interest “due to failure to pay.” The amount corresponds to about 340 million dollars.

Cheeks said he chose his numbers based off of family members' birthdays. The physical lottery ticket that he bought on January 6 is seen along with a denial when he checked his numbers

The jackpot Jicks thought was his it eventually rose to $754.6 millionand a lachno holder won the “gold” prize on February 6th.

According to US News, Americans’ odds of winning the Powerball are about one in 292.2 million, while the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are about one in 302.6 million…
