Alexei Navalny’s widow, Yuliasaid today that with her daughter Dasha comforting each other after the sudden death of dissident Alexei Navalny last week in a Russian penal colony.
Yulia Navalnaya posted a photo on X showing herself and Dasha side-by-side—she looking into the camera covering her mouth with her hand, and Dasha wrapped in a black coat looking sadly away.

It is unclear where and when this photo was taken. Navalnaya, 47, was in Munich last week when she learned of the death of her husband, the most well-known Russian dissident in the West.
Dashathe eldest child of the Navalny couple, she is a student at Stanford University in the USA.
Yulia Navalnaya is committed to continuing her husband’s work and blamed his death on President Vladimir Putin, an accusation the Kremlin angrily rejected.
Putin has not commented publicly on Navalny’s death, who was serving prison terms on a range of charges — including extremism and fraud — that totaled 30 years. He claimed that the charges were fabricated to silence him.
