The German government denied today Monday that its ambassador in Moscow summoned to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs after Russian media released recorded confidential conversations of high-ranking German armed forces officers about arms deliveries to Ukraine.

“The ambassador had us this morning a long-awaited appointment to the Russian Foreign Ministry,” German Foreign Ministry spokesman Christian Wagner said in response to a question about whether or not the German ambassador to the Russian Foreign Ministry had been summoned, as Russian news agencies had earlier reported.

THE Alexander Graf Lambsdorff (photo) he left the ministry without commenting to reporters after just over an hour, according to Russian news agencies.

Germany’s defense minister Boris Pistorius accused yesterday sunday Russia that it conducts “information warfare” which aims to cause division in his country, in his first reaction after the publication in Russia of this recorded conversation of high-ranking German officers.

Germany is preparing for war with Russia, Russian Security Council Vice President Dmitry Medvedev claimed in a post on Telegram.
