Two adults and four children were murdered into house in a suburb of Ottawaannounced today police in Canada. The mass killing took place late Wednesday night in the suburb of Barhaven. “It’s obviously a horrific scene,” police chief Eric Stamps told CBC without going into details about the circumstances of the brutal crime.
Police arrived at the scene of the crime at around 11pm on Wednesday (local time, 06:00 on Thursday in Greece), after being alerted that shots had been heard.

Mass murders are rare in Canada. In December 2022, a man shot and killed five people in a Toronto suburb before being shot dead by police. In September of that year, a man stabbed 11 people to death in the province of Saskatchewan. The perpetrator died of a cocaine overdose shortly after his arrest.
