The alarm was raised on Friday afternoon when at least five gunmen opened fire indiscriminately at the Crocus City Hall concert venue in Krasnogorsk near Moscow.

The gunmen opened fire with automatic weapons during a concert by the rock band “Picnic” while reports from Russia also speak of the use of explosives by the gunmen.
Videos on social media show flames coming out of the building and the roof has reportedly collapsed. At the same time, Russian media are talking about a second explosion at Circus City Hall.
Two helicopters have been sent to the Crocus City Hall building and are spraying water to extinguish the fire, the Central Department of the Emergencies Ministry told TASS.
According to initial information, the attackers were wearing camouflage clothing during the attack.
Based on the number of tickets sold, it is estimated that up to 6,200 people were in the concert venue at the time of the attack. It is noted that the Crocus City Hall has a capacity of 9,500 people.
The representative of the Ukrainian secret forces told the Ukrainian Ukrainska Pravda that the events in Moscow are a “conscious provocation” of the Russian special forces.
