Three armed men attempted to attack a police station today in the Nor-Nork district of Yerevanof the capital of Armenia, the Ministry of Interior of Armenia announced.

According to initial reports, two of the three men were injured when the grenades they were holding exploded.

The third man appears to remain outside the police station holding a hand grenade.

Russia’s state-run TASS news agency reported that Armenia’s police chief is at the scene and is negotiating with the man.

Earlier today the Interfax news agency reportedciting local media, that the gunmen may belong to the Combat Brotherhood organization, fifty members of which were arrested earlier today.

The organization denied reports of its involvement, saying it had nothing to do with the incident, Sputnik Armenia reported.
