The Palestinian organization has apologized for the hardships the war against Israel has caused
Hamas apologized for the first time from the residents of the Gaza Strip for the suffering the war has caused them, in a long statement published last Sunday night on her Telegram account.
The Palestinian organization has apologized for the hardships the war against Israel, which has lasted almost six months, has caused. But she reiterated her intention to pursue him, as, according to her, it will allow the Palestinians to achieve “victory and freedom”.
Hamas addressed a “message of thanks to the people” of the Gaza Strip, whose “exhaustion” it acknowledged. At the same time, it highlighted the measures it is trying to take to reduce the difficulties, mainly its efforts to “control prices” to the extent possible “given the ongoing attack”.
In addition, the Palestinian organization pointed out that it is talking to “all components” of the population in the Gaza Strip, referring to other armed organizations, “popular committees” and “families”, in order to “solve the problems caused by the occupation”.
The humanitarian needs in the Gaza Strip are enormous, in an area that has been under Israeli blockade since 2006 and where poverty and unemployment were already prevalent even before the war. Aid is trickling into the Palestinian enclave, and much of its population has been displaced to the south, around Rafah, near the border with Egypt, which remains closed.
At least 300,000 people lived in Rafah before the war, and now more than a million displaced people have taken refuge there, according to UN estimates.
In recent months various Hamas officials, such as Khaled Meshal, former head of the organization’s political bureau, have estimated that “sacrifices” are necessary for the “liberation” of Palestine.
In total, since the start of the war between Hamas and Israel on October 7, they have been killed at least 32,782 people in Gaza, according to the latest Hamas tally on Friday, mostly women and children.
