Russia carried out during the night a “mass attack” against Ukraine and targeted energy infrastructures throughout the country, the Ukrainian authorities announced this morning.
“The enemy has attacked our energy infrastructure again!” Ukrainian Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko announced in a post on the Telegram social media.
These attacks they targeted “generation facilities and transmission networks” pthe regions of Kiev, Kharkiv (north-east), Zaporizhia (south) and Lviv (west), Galushchenko listed.

According to Kharkiv Mayor Igor Terekhov and regional police, the Russian military hit Ukraine’s second most populous city with missiles.
“Based on what the Russian invader is doing, energy supply problems are likely in Kharkiv. The metro will remain closed for the next few hours, so plan your itineraries accordingly,” Terekhov wrote on Telegram this morning.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky called for more air defense supplies this morning, announcing that Russia had used more than 40 missiles and 40 drones to hit critical infrastructure in five regions.
According to the daily report of the Ukrainian General Staff published on Facebook, to carry out its “massive attack” against Ukraine, Moscow resorted to cruise missiles as well as Iranian-made Shahid drones. The Ukraine was able to destroy 37 out of 40 drones that were launched against her, according to the same source.
