Tragic accident with one dead and 10 injured occurred yesterday in Antalya, Turkey, when one of the cable car cars carrying passengers collided with a pole, causing it to open and people falling down the mountainside.

More than 180 people were trapped in the cable car carriages.

A major rescue operation has been underway since last night, in which they have so far 98 people have been released.

The cable car in which the accident happened, transports tourists from Konyalti Beach to the restaurant and the platform from which one can enjoy the view of the Gulf of Antalya at the top of Mount Tunektepe, at an altitude of 618 meters, in the Metropolitan Municipality of Antalya.
