The style of telephone communication between Russian President Vladimir Putin and German Chancellor Olaf Soltz was extremely heavy, which was recently completed.
The phone call between the two leaders even lasted much longer than expected.
According to the report, Solz condemned Putin’s plans to recognize Donetsk and Lugansk as independent territories.
In fact, the German Chancellor told the Russian president that any recognition of these areas would mean a unilateral violation of the Minsk agreement with a responsibility that would belong exclusively to Russia.
Olaf Solz also urged Vladimir Putin to withdraw Russian troops from the Ukrainian border and de-escalate tensions in eastern Ukraine.
A government source commented that depending on what will be said in the speech, an extraordinary conversation will follow between Solz, Zelensky, Macron and key partners.
“Negotiations have again focused on the situation in and around Ukraine and the deployment of Russian troops on the Russia-Ukraine and Belarus-Ukraine borders. “Chancellor Soltz condemned Russia’s plans to recognize the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as independent states,” the German Foreign Ministry’s press service told RIA Novosti.
Putin also had contact with Emmanuel Macron.
According to the French agency, Putin announced to French President Emanuel Macron and German Chancellor Olaf Solz that he was going to sign a decree recognizing these two areas.
