Three dead and two wounded are the toll of an Israeli airstrike in a border region of southern Lebanon.

Lebanese officials told Xinhua news agency that an Israeli warplane struck a house in the Jibein community of Tire district on Saturday, killing three Hezbollah fighters and injuring two civilians. Another airstrike hit a house in Kafar Qila community, injuring a civilian, according to the same source.

Since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas on October 7, there have been almost daily hostilities between the Israeli army and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, which supports the Palestinian Islamist movement. The Israeli strikes during this period have caused the death of 277 Hezbollah fighters and 76 civilians, according to an account of the Lebanese security services.
