“If the Italians believe that we are working efficiently, I ask them to go and vote. I ask them to vote for Brothers of Italy and write only my name, Georgia, on the ballot.”
The Italian prime minister Georgia Meloni announced on Sunday from Pescara in central Italy that she will be a candidate in the European elections with her “Brothers of Italy” party. He added that he will be in charge of the party’s ballots in all the country’s constituencies.
“If the Italians believe that we are working efficiently, I ask them to go and vote. I ask them to vote for Brothers of Italy and write only my name on the ballot, Georgia,” said the Italian prime minister. “I have always considered myself a soldier and when I have to, I have no qualms, I always go to the front line,” he added.

Meloni also emphasized that “she is not going to take a single minute out of her governmental activity to devote to the election campaign”, but that she “has confidence that her party will support her in this effort”.
“We will defend the borders, sovereignty, freedom and in Europe” he then emphasized. “We want a European Union that does fewer things, but more efficiently. We want a Union with a foreign policy and a defense policy, which will give it a central role in all areas with crisis points. We want a European pillar of NATO to be built to better support European interests, especially on the south side of the Atlantic Alliance and in the Mediterranean. We want European chains to be created to supply us with strategic raw materials and, finally, we believe that the demographic challenge must be addressed”, emphasized the Italian Prime Minister.
