The pet is fine despite traveling for a week in a pack
Working at a fulfillment center for retail giant Amazon in Los Angeles, Brandi Hunter every day she sees all kinds of objects pass in front of her in parcels.
But he never expected to see inside the package… a cute cat, hungry and thirsty, after a multi-day tour of the US.
Mrs. Hunter took her galena, as she found out it was called later, to the vet, who found that, despite her thirst and hunger after the week-long journey in the pack almost from one end of the country to the other, the pet was fine.
Thanks to the chip she brought, she quickly came into contact with her owners.
These latter, agitated, searched for her throughout their district, in the state of Utah in the western US, after her disappearance in mid-April.
“I ran to tell my husband that Galena had been found and we were devastated when we realized that she had hidden herself in a huge package that we mailed,” the cat’s owner, Carrie Clark, told local television station KSL TV.
The Clarks then traveled to Los Angeles, to California, where he found Galena safe again.
“I could tell it belonged to someone by the way it was acting,” Ms. Hunter noted, according to an Amazon statement about the unlikely event.
“I took her home at night, then took her to the vet the next day to see if she was chipped. You know the sequel.”
