Criticism of the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahupracticed by Donald Trump reiterating that the Israeli leader “he has rightly been criticized for what happened on October 7.”

In an interview he gave to the Times magazine and published today, Tuesday, the former American president said that the attack by Hamas on Israel “it should never have happened” accusing Netanyahu of not having foreseen it and added that this is what he has in his opinion “deep impact” to the Israeli leader.

“They have the most sophisticated equipment. They had – everything was there to stop this”Trump said. “And a lot of people knew about it, you know, thousands and thousands of people knew about it, but Israel didn’t know about it, and I think it’s being blamed very heavily for that, it’s being blamed” he added.

Trump has been critical of the Israeli leader since the Israel-Hamas war began. Earlier this month, Trump said that Israel “losing the PR war” in his handling of the war in Gaza because of his social media posts showing images of destruction.

Also in the interview, Trump recalled the time he was president in January 2020 when a US operation to kill Iranian general Qassem Soleimani was supposed to be a joint strike with Israel but Netanyahu pulled out at the last second.

“I had a bad experience with Bibi,” Trump said. “That was something I never forgot” concluded.
