The attacks hit energy infrastructure causing power outages in central Russia’s Ariol region
Ukrainian remote controlled unmanned aerial vehicles of a direction hit energy infrastructures causing power outages in the Ariol region of central Russia, regional governor Andrei Klitskov announced today via Telegram.
The damage occurred in the areas Glazunowski and Swirdlowski, where the Ukrainian drones were shot down, Mr Klitschkow said. No casualties were reported.
Drone attacks against energy infrastructure also took place in Shmalensk region, regional governor Vassily Anokhin said via Telegram.
He did not specify which facilities were targeted, however he assured that teams of emergency response services have been deployed on site.
In recent months, the Ukrainian armed forces have carried out a series of raids against energy infrastructure in Russia, mainly refineries and fuel storage facilities, with the aim of affecting in particular the supply of the Russian armed forces.
New attack by Russia in Odessa
At the same time, Russia launched a ballistic missile attack in which almost fifteen people were injured in Odessa, as announced on the night of Wednesday to Thursday by the local authorities.
A “new Russian ballistic missile attack” hit Odesa, the mayor of the southeastern Ukrainian city, Hennadi Trukhanov, announced via Telegram.
“Civil infrastructure was destroyed” and “13 people were injured,” he said, adding that firefighters were deployed to deal with a large “fire,” without elaborating.
