The Conservatives suffered a defeat in the last local elections, losing almost 500 councilors in England and the West Midlands mayoralty going to Labour.

The United Kingdom is heading for an election result in the second half of the year that will not result in self-reliance, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak said after his Conservative Party’s losses in last Thursday’s local elections.
Speaking to The Times and trying to make a positive out of the result, which he admitted was “bitterly disappointing” for the Tories, Mr Sunack essentially admitted he expected his party to come second in the national election behind Kiir’s Labour. Starmer, as all the polls show.
Citing Thursday’s national election result by analyst Michael Thrasher, Mr Sunack said Mr Starmer would not win independence and would have to co-govern with one of the smaller parties. Other analysts, however, question this reduction.
“For Keir Starmer to be pinned down in Downing Street by the SNP, the Lib Dems and the Greens would be a disaster for Britain. The country does not need more political bargaining, but action”, commented the Prime Minister.
He insisted that the Conservatives are the only party with a workable governance plan to cover the priorities of the people.
