The 18-year-old son of Donald Trump and Melania takes his first steps in politics, Baron. The Republican Party of Florida picked the former president’s 18-year-old youngest son on Wednesday night as one of the state’s at-large delegates to the Republican National Convention, according to a copy of the results obtained by Politico.

A Trump campaign official said Barron is “very interested in our nation’s political process.”

The state party also selected other children from the Trump family as delegates, including Eric Trump as delegation chairman.

However, Barron Trump himself has not announced what his plans are after graduating this year.

Ivanka Trump is the only one of Donald Trump’s five children who has stayed out of politics after serving as a senior adviser in the Trump administration.

Florida Republican Party Chairman Evan Power was on the phone Wednesday night with delegation leaders, including Kimberly Guilfoyle, who is engaged to Donald Trump Jr. and serves on the platform committee for the Republican National Convention.

“We are fortunate to have a great group of grassroots leaders, elected officials and members of the Trump family working together as part of Florida’s delegation to the 2024 Republican National Convention,” Power said in a statement.

Donald Trump, whose trial in the Stormy Daniels case continues, leads President Joe Biden in Florida by more than 10 points in the latest poll for the US election.
