In the Paristhe authorities illuminated the town hall of the French capital in the same colors, to also show their support.
Berlin sends a clear message in favor of a free and sovereign Ukraine, according to the city’s municipal authority.
“We show our solidarity with its people Of Ukraine“Many Berliners with Ukrainian roots, but also many Russians who want peace in Russia and Ukraine,” said Berlin Mayor Francesca Giffe in a statement.
“They want nothing more than an end to the escalation and a peaceful settlement to this threatening conflict,” she added.
