THE German police announced today that he arrested eight activists for the climate breached Munich Airport’s facilities, briefly causing it to close this morning amid a busy travel season for the airport in southern Germany.
Six of the activists stuck their hands on an airport runway, a police spokesman said, adding that the situation was now under control and that both airport runways were now open.
The climate organization “Last Generation”which has staged similar protests in the past, claimed responsibility for the protest at the airport in a series of posts on social media X, which showed its members on what appeared to be a runway with protest placards.

“A total of six people are sitting in two groups in different parts of Munich Airport,” she said in one of her posts.
One of the protest placards read: “The problem is the government, not our holidays.”
The organization has not yet responded to a Reuters call or email for comment.
