Fatal traffic accident in southern Turkey happened today when an intercity bus collided with three other vehicles on a main highway.

The conflict left 10 people dead and another 39 injured, according to Interior Minister Ali Gerlikaya.

The bus, which made the route from Diyarbakir to Istanbulcollided with a truck and two other vehicles in the Tarsus region near the Mediterranean city of Mersini, the minister said in a post on X.

The government emphasized that an investigation has been launched into the exact causes of the accident.
