New “nuclear” threats against the West, and Europe in particular, were launched on Friday by Vladimir Putin, while he also threatened that Russia may also give weapons “to the enemies of the West”.

“I do not rule out changes in our nuclear doctrine. We can do nuclear tests, but we don’t need to now. There is no question of getting ready to develop nuclear weapons. We do not make a fuss about nuclear weapons, we never started “nuclear rhetoric”, but we have to move on from today’s reality,” the Russian president said according to Reuters.

“Everyone must understand that Russia and the US, unlike Europe, they have early warning systems“, he said about the possibility of nuclear escalation at the International Economic Forum being held in St. Petersburg.

“We have more nuclear weapons than they do in Europe. I speak on the assumption that we will never get to nuclear war. We don’t need to think about nuclear war. ThI asked all of you not to mention it” Putin said.

“We reserve the right to supply the enemies of the West with long-range weapons, but we have not done it until now” he warned, in the wake of the supply of armaments and fighters to Kiev from Western countries.

“We have the right to respond proportionately” he communicated. “I cannot say that we will supply the weapons tomorrow,” he clarified.

For the “special operation in Ukraine” as Moscow calls the war, he argued that “we are gradually repelling the enemy, I am sure that our plans will be realized.”

“There are probably discussions about Ukraine. But there must be agreements in our interest… We will win” he added.

“There is no need for military mobilization, we have enough volunteers, since the beginning of the year we have 160,000 recruits… There is no need to use nuclear weapons,” the Russian president noted.
