A famous Los Angeles YouTuber has been prosecuted for directing a video in which fireworks were launched from a helicopter at a speeding Lamborghini.

Suk Min Choi, 24, known as Alex Choi 24, was arrested Wednesday and charged with placing an explosive or incendiary device on an aircraft, the District Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California said in a news release released the next day.

Choi, who has 923,000 YouTube followers and 1.2 million Instagram followers, posted a video titled “Destroying a Lamborghini with Fireworks” on July 4, 2023.

The nearly 11-minute video, which the YouTuber has since deleted from his social media, shows two women targeting the sports car from a helicopter, the affidavit said.

Authorities estimate the video was taken in June 2023 at the El Mirage Dry Lakebed in San Bernardino County, California.

No other people involved in the video are named in the affidavit.

No injuries were reported as a result of the video, Ciaran McEvoy, a spokesman for the US attorney’s office, told CNN.
