The suspect was not in a clear shooting position – The bullet went through the computer screen that was half-hiding him
One is making the rounds on the internet video by her police Floridawhich records the neutralization bandit bank, who was holding hostages, from sniper.
The video has now been released to the public but is of an incident that took place on February 6, 2024, at the Fort Myers Bank of America.
Sterling Alavache, 36, had entered the bank armed with a knife and claimed to have a bomb. He was holding 2 hostages while a strong force of police and FBI agents were deployed outside the building.
While the negotiations were in progress, the robber put the knife to the throat of one of the two hostages. Then a SWAT team sniper fired once, hitting Alavache in the center of the forehead and killing him instantly.
The most impressive thing is that the robber was not in a clear shooting position but behind the cash register, and the bullet went through the computer screen that was half-hiding him.
The hostages then run away while SWAT team men storm the area with flash grenades as a distraction until it is confirmed that the suspect is no longer a threat.
