With the strikes by the Houthi rebels against merchant ships in Red Sea intensify the concern about the spread of the conflict in the Middle East, SKAI publishes a exclusive video documentary.

The video has captured frame by frame the moment of the attack on the Greek-owned ship Tutor.

The attack took place last Wednesday while the ship was sailing off the coast of Hudaydah which is also the headquarters of the Houthis.

The video was taken seconds after the attack, and shows both the crew and the ship’s armed guards fleeing to the bridge in a state of panic. A sailor signals an alarm over the radio, while one can see that some of the crew members are stumbling, which means the ship has been rocked by the explosion and has lost support. The shock wave has caused damage, false ceilings and objects have fallen to the floor.

In another video, seconds before impact, crew and guards see a floating vessel approaching them, a boat rigged with explosives by the Houthis which hits the ship’s stern causing a breach.

The ship was unmanned for 3 days and there is a missing seaman who was reportedly trapped in the engine room and died due to inflow of water. A third video, taken on Friday, 2 days after the attack, shows moment of rescue by a US Navy ship.
