It has caused a shock to Italy the tragic story of Indian Satnam Singh, 31, who worked in a business just outside the town of Latina, 80 kilometers south of Rome.

THE Singh he was amputated when his legs and arms were caught in an automatic packaging machine.

His employer, instead of taking him to the hospital, decided to abandon him outside the farmhouse where he lived, leaving his severed right arm in a vegetable crate a few meters away.

Eyewitnesses asked the businessman why he abandoned the unfortunate young man.

The answer they received was:I can’t take him to the hospital, he was working “black”».

The worker was then airlifted to San Camillo Hospital in Rome where – despite the efforts of doctors – he succumbed to his injuries. Latina’s public prosecutor’s office launched an investigation, in the context of which the unconscious employer was immediately called to testify.

The Italian press underlines that this is another tragedy, which is due to the widespread phenomenon of “black work”.

The unfortunate young man had come to Italy with his wife Three years ago and the only, “undeclared” job they had offered him, was outside Latina. Thousands of Indians live in this area, who are often victims of extreme exploitation, mainly by landowners.
