Kiev: Russian advance on Ukraine “climbed” – 3,500 Russian soldiers dead or wounded

by

An adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday that Russia’s attack on Kiev was not progressing, and that 3,500 Russian soldiers have been killed or wounded so far during the Moscow invasion of Ukraine.

“We are hitting the enemy around Kiev. “The enemy is not moving now,” said Oleksiy Arestovich.

The Russian commanders are upset and frustrated more and more of the slow pace of their advance into Ukraine as they begin to deal with logistics issues, said a senior Pentagon official.

“Moscow does not appear to have supplied its troops with sufficient fuel, and as a result the commanders were forced to adjust their plans,” the official told Reuters.

The Russian military received orders earlier on Saturday to expand its offensive in all directions. despite the growing international outcry, as the Russian side claims that Kiev refused the negotiations. “Today, all units have been ordered to extend the attack in all directions, in accordance with the plan of attack,” Defense Ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement.

He said pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, backed by the Russian military, were “succeeding”. These allegations cannot be directly verified by an independent source.

At the same time, Russian troops are approaching the Ukrainian nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia “They are targeting the site with their rockets,” said Vadim Denishenko, an adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Minister.

Russian artillery fire killed 19 civilians and wounded 73 others today in the Donetsk region of eastern Ukraine.

Russian forces appear to be reinforced with the most powerful non-nuclear weapons, as well as Chechen fighters.
