The head of the far-right National Alarm Marine Le Pen made it clear on Tuesday, ahead of the second round of French elections, that her goal is unhindered governance.

“We want to rule”, pointed out Marine Le Pen speaking in the morning to the French radio network France Inter.

Asked whether her party would attempt to form a government if it did not receive a majority in the national assembly, Le Pen clarified that she would need an absolute majority.

She also stated that she would respect Jordan Bardela’s role if he became prime minister and that she would not want to be part of the government herself.

“It is obvious that we cannot accept to go to government if we cannot act” he emphasized.

Le Pen also stated that she will not join the government and that she will not be president of the national assembly. “I will be the head of the group of deputies,” Le Pen clarified.

Asked if she would join a new European political group to be formed by Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, she did not give a specific answer, saying “the party will look at what is on the table after the French elections”.

“We are focused on elections which is fundamental to the future of the country,” he said.

The National Front discredited its candidate after her photo with a Nazi quotient

In the meantime, the National Front decided to carve out its candidate Ludivine Daoudi after a photo of her wearing a Nazi ration appeared on social media, reports France Bleu Normandie.

Daoudi was the RN candidate for the 1st constituency of Calvados.

The candidate of the National Front has been photographed with her officer’s ration Luftwaffeof the German air force, during the Hitler era, while the quotient features the swastika.

Marine Le Pen wants to shake off any relation with the Nazi past of her party, and for this reason she also keeps her distance from the German Alternative for Germany.
