US-based postal management companies United Parcel Service Inc (UPS) and FedEx Corp. (FedEx), two of the world’s largest companies in the field, have announced that they are shutting down distribution services in Russia and Ukraine after the Russian invasion of its neighboring country.
Both incoming and outgoing postal management services have been suspended in Ukraine, as well as deliveries to destinations in Russia, both UPS and FedEx said in a statement on Sunday.
Both Atlanta-based UPS and Memphis-based FedEx announced on February 24 that they were suspending their services in Ukraine due to the invasion.
It is unknown at this time what he will do after leaving the post.
Neither company responded to requests for comment.
Meanwhile, the German postal management company Deutsche Post (DHL) announced that it has temporarily suspended postal deliveries to and from Ukraine, while avoiding using Ukrainian airspace to operate globally.
DHL’s statement did not say whether its operations in Russia had changed, and the company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
