Liberation’s cover “steals” the show: “C’ est ouf”
The relief of the French people at the result of the second round of the election, which brought the far-right third, is the topic that dominates today’s front pages of the country’s major newspapers.
The show was “stolen” by Liberation’s front page with the characteristic title “C’ est ouf” describing the relief at the upset as Le Pen’s “National Rally”, which had come first the previous Sunday, is in third place.

Le Monde speaks of a National Assembly without a clear majority, pointing out the risk of “paralysis”. Divided into three blocs of similar size, between the New Popular Front, the presidential coalition and the extreme right, the National Assembly depicts an unprecedented situation for the French Fifth Republic”, the publication points out, but at the same time it is clarified that this parliamentary composition is “the norm” in many European parliamentary democracies such as Germany, Spain, Italy and Belgium.
