In a first account of the causes that led to the defeat of the National Rally despite the high expectations of the first round of the elections, its head in the parliamentary elections, Jordan Bardela, proceeded while warning that the candidates who did not “comply” with the party’s line, would be expelled .
Jordan Bardela commented on the results of the second round of the general elections where the National Rally (RN) finally won a total of 125 seats in the new National Assembly and the 17 seats of Eric Ciotti’s Republicans, according to the results of the Ministry of the Interior.
Jordan Bardela “took” on Monday a “share of responsibility” for the RN’s “defeat”, saying “we always make mistakes, I made them and I take my share of responsibility both for winning the European elections and for yesterday’s defeat”, he added.
At the same time, commenting on the fact that some of the candidates of the National Rally made racist or conspiratorial statements, Jordan Bardela, stated that “probably we should consider the election of these candidates to the National Assembly”.
People who have said things that are not in line with my vision, with what we stand for, with the political line that I carry, will not participate,” he repeated, saying that they are “one or two people.”
