A Times article reports that more than 400 mercenaries of the Wagner Group’s private militia have been in the Kyiv ordered by the Kremlin to kill the Ukrainian President Zelensky and prepare the ground for Moscow to take control of the city.
The members of the mercenary organization were transferred to Kyiv from Africa via Belarus and reportedly have another 23 Ukrainian government officials and Mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko.
The group’s leader is Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigogine, a close ally of the Russian president and known as “Putin’s chef.”
The source of the British newspaper, which is “closely” connected with the activities of the organization, states that a total of 2,000 to 4,000 mercenaries are on Ukrainian territory.
It added that the militants had been informed that Putin wanted a brief pause in their actions to show that they were negotiating with Kyiv, but that no agreement would be reached in the end and that the image of the deal was nothing more than a “smokescreen”.
They themselves boast that they know exactly where the people are in the list of executions they have, by monitoring his movements through their mobile phones. The Kremlin has promised a hefty pay to mercenaries and a safe exit from Ukraine when they complete their mission.
