US President Donald Trump announced today that he has ordered the start of nuclear weapons tests, breaking a 30-year pause since the last US nuclear test in 1992.

In view of his meeting with the Chinese presidentXi Jinping on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in the South Korean city of Busan, Trump justified his decision, claiming that “he had no choice” after finding out that other powers (Russia) have recently tested weapons capable of carrying nuclear warheads.

“The United States has more nuclear weapons than any other country. This was achieved, alongside the modernization of existing weapon systems, during my first term (at the White House)»says President Trump in his post on the Truth Social platform, adding that currently Russia has the second largest nuclear arsenal in the world and China the thirdbut they may increase it to corresponding levels in the next five years.

“Because of their terrible, destructive power, I HATE to do it but I had no choice!”he emphasizes.

“Because of the tests from other countries, I have given an order to the Ministry of War (as the US Department of Defense has been renamed) to begin testing our nuclear weapons on equal terms. This process will begin immediately”emphasized Donald Trump.

The American president’s post in detail:

The United States has more nuclear weapons than any other country. This was achieved, alongside the modernization of existing weapon systems, during my first term.

Because of their awesome destructive power, I HATED doing this, but I had no choice!

Russia is second and China is a distant third, but they may increase their nuclear arsenal to commensurate levels in the next five years.

Because of the tests by other countries, I have directed the War Department to begin testing our nuclear weapons on equal terms. This process will start immediately.

Thank you for your attention to this matter!

PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP

Russia’s “invincible” missile

Meanwhile, on Sunday, Russia announced that it had successfully tested a nuclear-powered cruise missile Burevestnikan “infinite range” weapon that, thanks to its ability to fly low and follow terrain, could bypass US missile defense systems and deliver nuclear payloads anywhere on Earth.

The news was conveyed by the chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia Valery Gerasimov in statements, while Vladimir Putin said that the rocket Burevestnikmeaning “seabird of the storm”, is “a truly unique weapon that no other country possesses.” He is invincible,” he triumphed.

The development had caused international concern, with the president of the United States Donald Trump to say on Monday that it was “inappropriate” to conduct such tests at a time when Russia should be focusing on peace talks with Ukraine.

“We don’t play games with them”

THE Donald Trump he also pointed out on Monday that there are other ways to transport nuclear warheads.

“We have a nuclear submarine, the best in the world, right off their shores”he told reporters aboard Air Force One. A rocket, he added, “it doesn’t need to go 8,000 miles.”

“We test missiles all the time”he said. “They don’t play games with us and we don’t play with them either”.

The Kremlin said it saw no reason for the test to “deteriorate relations between Moscow and Washington”which are already tense after the cancellation of the planned Putin-Trump summit.
