THE Donald Trump announced that he will leave on Sunday for Milwaukee where the Republican Party convention in which he will officially receive the anointing for the November presidential elections.

“Due to the horrific events of yesterday I intended to delay my trip to Milwaukee for two days,” the former president said in a post on his personal social network, Truth Social.

“But I’m not going to let a sniper or an assassin force me to change my schedule or anything. Therefore, I will depart for Milwaukee, as scheduled,” he added.

The Republican National Convention begins Monday in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. National Republican Committee (NRC) Chairman Michael Whatley told Fox News that authorities are working together to secure the site after months of preparations.

According to the FBI, the suspect in the “attempted murder,” as the federal agency called it, is Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. The young man was a registered Republican voter but had also made a $15 donation to a Democratic action committee when he was 17.

His motive has not been clarified at this time.
